Calendar

Getting started

How do I see my calendar in KeepCue?

  1. Tap the calendar button at the top of the Timeline.
  2. Turn on Show calendar events.
  3. Allow Full Access when asked.
  4. Choose which calendars to show.

Which calendars can KeepCue show?

Any calendar in your iPhone’s Calendar app:

Can KeepCue change my calendar?

No. KeepCue only reads your calendar. It never adds, changes or deletes events, and nothing is copied off your iPhone.

How do I add holidays, birthdays, a public calendar or my Google account?

Each has its own steps in the Calendar Guide:

Access problems

“KeepCue doesn’t have access to your calendars. Allow Full Access in Settings.”

Tap Open Settings in KeepCue’s Calendars screen and choose Full Access. If the choice is locked, allow changes in Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Calendars.

“Calendar access is restricted on this iPhone by Screen Time or a device profile.”

On a work or school iPhone, a device profile controls this. Ask your IT team.

Something is missing

A calendar is missing. Why?

Open your iPhone’s Calendar app. If the calendar isn’t there, KeepCue can’t see it either.

A meeting is missing from the Timeline.

KeepCue leaves out meetings you declined and meetings the organizer cancelled, so the Timeline shows the time you’re actually committed to. Both are still in your Calendar app. Accept a meeting and it appears in KeepCue.

Something looks wrong

My calendar has stopped updating.

If Calendar shows “Verify account information” for an account, that account has stopped syncing. Sign in again in your iPhone’s Calendar account settings. If it keeps asking, remove the account there and add it again. Your events come back from the account.

An event is out of date.

KeepCue shows what’s in your Calendar app right now. Subscribed calendars update on a schedule set by your iPhone, so a change to the original can take a while to arrive in the Calendar app.

Why is an event at a different time than I expected?

KeepCue shows events in your iPhone’s current time zone, the same as the Calendar app. A meeting set in another zone appears at your local time.

Overlaps

Every task inside my work hours says “Overlaps Work.”

The work event is marked Busy. Set its Show As to Free in Calendar, or hide that calendar in KeepCue. KeepCue still shows a free event, but doesn’t count it as busy.

Tasks and routines

When I edit a repeating task, what do the options mean?

Delete offers the same three choices.

Your data and privacy

Where are my tasks stored?

Only on your iPhone. KeepCue has no account, and your tasks, routines and notes never leave your device.

Is my data backed up?

Your tasks are included in your iPhone’s own backup (iCloud Backup, or a backup to your computer), like other app data. Restoring that backup to a new iPhone brings them back.

Does KeepCue work across my iPhone and iPad?

KeepCue is for iPhone. Tasks stay on the iPhone they were created on and aren’t shared between devices.

What happens if I delete the app?

Your tasks are deleted with it. Reinstalling doesn’t bring them back, unless you restore an iPhone backup made before deleting.

Does KeepCue collect any data?

Anonymous usage counts and crash reports, used to fix bugs and improve the app. Nothing you type is included: no task names, notes, routines or calendar details. Details are in the privacy policy.

Buying KeepCue

Is there a subscription?

No. KeepCue is a one-time purchase, with no subscription.

I got a new iPhone. Do I pay again?

No. Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account and download KeepCue again. Your tasks come across only if you restore your old iPhone’s backup.
