Introduction

Welcome to KeepCue, a visual timeline and routine planner app created by Start in June LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Activity Data (Stored On Your Device Only)

All your activity data, including checklists, notes and routines, is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We do not process or store this data on our servers.

Calendar Events (Read On Your Device Only)

If you turn on the calendar layer, KeepCue reads events from the calendars you choose in your iPhone's Calendar app and shows them on your Timeline. KeepCue asks for calendar access only when you turn this on, and it only reads: it never adds, changes or deletes events. Events are read on your device when needed. They are not copied into KeepCue's own storage, and they are never sent to us, to Amplitude or to Sentry. You can turn the layer off in Settings, and you can remove KeepCue's access at any time in iOS Settings.

Reminders (Scheduled On Your Device Only)

If you turn on activity reminders, KeepCue schedules notifications on your device for your upcoming activities. They are local notifications. Nothing about them is sent to a server, and they include only what you already entered, such as the activity's name and its time or cue. KeepCue asks for notification permission only when you turn reminders on.

Analytics Data

We collect limited, anonymized analytics to understand how the app is used:

• Events: Key in-app actions, such as creating and completing an activity, setting a cue, customizing a checklist, using a preset routine, and changing a display setting. If you turn on the calendar layer or reminders, we also count that you did so, whether access was denied, and how many calendars you show out of how many you have. Each kind of event is sent at most once a day.
• Basic device info: OS version and app version for compatibility
• Anonymous identifier: A randomly generated ID is created on first launch and stored on your device. It is never linked to your identity and is used only to count unique users and understand usage patterns over time.

We do not collect:

• Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
• Your activity content, checklist item names, notes, or completion history
• The names, titles, locations, notes or attendees of your calendar events, or which calendars you have
• Attribution or advertising data

Crash and Error Reports

If the app crashes, or encounters a handled internal error (for example, a failure saving data), a report is sent to Sentry (our error monitoring service) when it occurs. These reports contain a stack trace or error description and basic device context (OS version, app version). They do not contain any activity data, calendar events or personal information.

How We Use Your Information

Analytics Data

Analytics data are used to understand which features are used so we can improve the app. Processed by Amplitude, an industry-standard analytics platform.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

On Your Device

All activity data is stored locally using secure on-device storage.

Analytics (Amplitude)

Anonymized usage events are processed by Amplitude. Amplitude is GDPR-compliant and follows strict privacy standards. No personal identifiers or activity content are included in these events. IP address tracking is disabled.

Crash and Error Reports (Sentry)

Crash and error reports are processed by Sentry, an industry-standard error monitoring platform. Reports are sent when a crash or handled internal error occurs and contain no activity data, calendar events or personal information.

Data Sharing

We never share your activity data or your calendar events. They never leave your device.

We do not:

• Use advertising networks
• Sell or share data with data brokers
• Share data for marketing purposes
• Track users across apps

Data Retention and Deletion

Activity data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all activity data from your device.

Analytics data is retained by Amplitude according to their data retention policies. To request deletion of your analytics data, contact us at support@keepcue.app.

Your Rights

• Access and control: You have complete control over your data on your device
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all activity data
• Analytics deletion: Email support@keepcue.app to request deletion of analytics data
• GDPR (EU users): All activity data is stored locally on your device. We do not process or store it on our servers. For questions about your rights under GDPR, contact us at support@keepcue.app.
• CCPA (California users): We do not sell your personal information

Third-Party Services

Amplitude Analytics

• Purpose: App usage analytics and improvement
• Data shared: Anonymized usage events and anonymous identifier only
• Privacy: GDPR-compliant, no personal identifiers, IP address disabled

Sentry Crash and Error Reporting

• Purpose: Crash detection and app stability improvement
• Data shared: Stack traces or error descriptions and basic device context (OS version, app version) when a crash or handled internal error occurs
• Privacy: No activity data, calendar events or personal identifiers included

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
